JASON
Jason Rearick is an award-winning photojournalist who has shot for newspapers and magazines in Iowa, New York, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, among which include The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Des Moines Register, Sipa Press, Education Week and The Legal Intelligencer. Jason also has worked as a photographer and photo editor for The Citizen, a daily newspaper in upstate New York.

At The Citizen, Jason managed the photo budget for two publications, including numerous weekly in-depth enterprise packages and assigned a staff of two photographers and a half-dozen freelancers.

Jason studied photojournalism at the Rochester Institute of Technology, one of the country's leading photography schools. He has been a judge for R.I.T.'s annual photojournalism honors show and for Goucher College's annual digital arts contest. He also has taught photojournalism and other photography workshops in Philadelphia.

Jason's favorite saying about photography is from photographer Robert Capa, who once said: "If your pictures aren't good enough, you aren't close enough." Jason consistently pursues that philosophy in the literal and figurative for his print and on-line images.

Jason is based in Philadelphia and is available for work locally, regionally and abroad.
